Last week, renowned oscar-winning actor Will Smith revealed the inside story of his marriage to Jada Smith. Gayle King asked the King Richard star about his marital affair on The Sunday Show on CBS. “How true are the rumors about your marriage that surface on social media and the internet?” Asked the host.
The 35 years old actor replied by saying, “Well, all the rumors are false. And there never has been an affair or infidelity in our marriage. Never.” He went on to say that the couple has been talking about “anything and everything under the sun,” and none of them have surprised each other. “Never,” the actor emphasized with his alluring tone and accent.
Nonetheless, Will Smith confessed that rumors “about our marriage” benefit a lot of people. But he argued that these chatters and rumors gave an opportunity to the love birds to have real talks. “Thee open up new opportunities for both us to have real tough talks, you know I’m saying?” said Will Smith.
The Jada and Will Smith Love Story Dates Back to the 90s
Will Smith had a brief marital relationship in 1992 with Sheree Zampion. The marriage did not work out and they parted ways in 1995. It was then that Will started dating the young and enthusiastic Jada Pinkett. After two years of being in a relationship, the love birds tied the knot. The couple now share one daughter Willow Smith, who is 21, and a son, Jaden Smith, who is 23.
During this 30 years of marital relationship, Jada and Will Smith have gone through numerous ups and downs. On top of that, the social media hype had not left any stone unturned in screwing up the marriage. But for Will Smith, rumors and chatter are not something negative. Rather, these are “positive gestures” and open new doors of mutual understanding and inter-dependence.
The Unconditional Love of Will and Jada Smith Has Been Through Many Turmoils
Though Jada and Will share an unwavering unconditional love, it has never been an easy one. It has been through certain turmoils. Nonetheless, the couple has overcome every challenge that could have been a hindrance in their marriage. For example, in 2020, Jada revealed her “attachment and entanglement” with popular singer August Alsina. By then, Jada had revealed that she and Will were “on break up” and that the story was years ago.
Furthermore, Jada asserted that she and Will Smith “worked really hard” to get things to work out and it was “a real challenge” for the love birds. With mutual understanding, they both settled the matter and got back to the “unconditional love” that they had developed over the course of thirty years. It is pertinent to mention here that Will Smith and Jada come from two different backgrounds and their upbringing is different. Jada comes from “a conventional and orthodox family.” Whereas, Will comes from a moderate family.
But the mutual understanding and freedom that they have given to each other, are the ambassadors of their successful marriage. “If you have mutual trust and open-mindedness in your relationship, it will survive regardless of any challenges and turmoils down the road,” concludes Will Smith.
