As per Morgan, when the Majesty arrived at Monroe, she paid her a short glance upward and downwards.
Monroe immediately grabbed the Queen’s hands in her hand and performed the perfect deep bow. The pair subsequently talked for a few moments, discussing topics such as being neighbors as well as the Monarch’s favorite Windsor. Monroe seemed ecstatic when she exited the theatre late that night.
The Queen once said: “Miss Monroe struck me as a very nice lady. However, I felt horrible for her because she had chewed the whole of her rouge off as she was really anxious.” The Queen remarked later.
After Monroe’s journey ended, the media questioned her about what she liked best regarding her stay in Britain. She considered the British folks her most significant and most ardent supporters. She loved how the people welcomed her throughout her sojourn in England. She commented, “Seeing the Queen and then seeing my partner’s new project were always the highlights for me.”
