Barbara Walters – Born In 1929 – The View
Love or hate her work; Barbara Walters remains one of America’s foremost TV personalities. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College’s English program, she began her broadcasting career in the ’50s as a career before landing a spot on NBC’s “The Today Show.” Walters’ eventual move to ABC and helming of “The View” opened more doors for her.
She earned a reputation for getting exclusive interviews with elusive public personalities such as Fidel Castro and Michael Jackson. The Emmy-winning host bowed out of her hosting duties and retired in 2014. According to an OK! Magazine update in 2020, Walters continues to live in her New York City apartment.
